Talent management application provider Kenexa Corp. this week said it plans to acquire Salary.com Inc., a provider of employee compensation services and applications for $80 million in cash.
The deal, which is expected to close in the fourth quarter of this year, would allow Kenexa to add SaaS-based compensation applications and content to its existing talent management applications and services. Those include recruitment outsourcing and recruitment branding services as well as employee assessment, recruitment, onboarding, and performance management applications, which are delivered as on-demand services.
Kenexa said both companies’ boards of directors have approved the proposed acquisition.
Kenexa officials, in a prepared statement, said the company also intends to market its suite of talent management enterprise applications and services to Salary.com’s “several thousand” customers. And Kenexa said it will expand marketing of Salary.com’s applications to large, global enterprises.
