Reinforcing its recent emphasis on document management, SAP AG this week agreed to resell document presentment and personalization software from StreamServe Inc.
SAP, which for the past two years has recommended the StreamServe application to its customers as an Endorsed Business Solution, will now sell and support the product directly.
StreamServe’s software allows users to create documents in various forms —printed documents, e-mails, faxes, etc. — that include structured data from applications, such as SAP’s ERP software, and unstructured data, such as text. Manufacturing and other organizations use the software to, for example, create bills and invoices that combine transactional data and personalized messages, such as promotions.
“StreamServe’s solution allows companies to have more personalized communications with their customers,” said SAP Global Vice President for Software Solutions Tom Roberts in an interview with Managing Automation.
