Design software purveyor Autodesk Inc. delivered larger-than-anticipated revenue gains in its second fiscal quarter, the company revealed this week, continuing an upward trend that emerged earlier this year. The manufacturing industry accounted for the biggest increase in business for the 3D design and engineering software company.

The top of the company’s revenue guidance at the close of the first quarter was $460 million.
